I have two question really. First, as I understand it, XML & Schema code are the same thing. Is that correct?

Secondly, I saw a WP plugin that is supposed to convert WP sites to schema so that they are found & ranked better by Google. Here is what the ad says: "What Google needs to see via Schema.org: microdata. Microdata is a custom markup of your website that clearly defines what certain information means. Here is what Schema says: Search engines can benefit greatly from direct access to this structured data. It enables search engines to understand the information on web pages and provide richer search results to make it easier for users to find relevant information on the web."

This software/plugin automatically outputs microdata wrapped content via Schema.org's markup. It also adds place specific metadata tags. It does all of this for WP sites. Do you know of any software that does the same things for regular html websites?
